Explore Toba Caldera, UNESCO's Global Geopark (2)

2 July 2020, Toba caldera, the largest volcanic lake in the world, was finally named a UNESCO's Global Geopark during the united Nation cultural body's 209th plenary session held in Paris.

74.000 years ago, Toba caldera was formed by super-volcanic eruption.

It killed most humans living at that time and believed to have created a population bottleneck in central east Africa and India
